The Lake District National Park is England’s largest World Heritage Site, inscribed due to its outstanding universal values of Identity, Inspiration and Conservation.

Supporting nature’s recovery is one of our key challenges. We’re looking for a passionate, creative, enthusiastic, and inspiring natural environment specialist who is ready to apply their skills, knowledge and experience in policy development, management and community engagement of the special qualities of the National Park.  

Initially working from home, the role will be based at our headquarters in Kendal, working in the Strategy and Environment Team, but with some travel around the National Park. 

You will be working with the Lead Strategy Advisor for Farming, Nature and Landscape to coordinate the delivery of biodiversity net gain, support nature’s recovery in the National Park as well as providing ecological knowledge and advice in relation to the natural environment and land management. You will do this by developing ideas from strategy and turning them into the delivery of high-quality projects and practice with colleagues, volunteers, partners, land managers and community groups, using excellent project management and communication skills. 

Requirements 

This role does require eligibility to Work in the UK and a full, current driving licence.
