Context

This role sits within T&T’s Sustainability team, and is part of the Mayor of London’s Retrofit Accelerator – Homes – a three year programme run by Turner & Townsend.

The Accelerator is innovative and ambitious: we aim to kick start a deep retrofit industry in London and the wider UK, achieving a minimum of 60% carbon emissions savings, but aiming for net-zero.

Energiesprong UK are a partner on the Accelerator and together with several social housing providers we have applied for BEIS funding to deliver over 300 net zero energy home retrofits. These projects will be managed by the clients themselves, but the Accelerator exists to support clients along their delivery journey.

The Energiesprong approach will create a scaled up net-zero energy retrofit market through innovation at all levels: technical standards must improve, production and installation approaches must become more efficient, business models need to adapt.

Client teams need significant support on this journey: the Retrofit Delivery Manager will be central to helping clients overcome uncertainties through applied expertise. You will be the link between the client and the wider Accelerator team and will bring real determination to drive forward on projects that require learning and change at every step.

This is a role at the heart of one of the most exciting changes in social housing in our generation.
