The Heart of England Forest is a charity working to reverse centuries of woodland decline and plant and preserve a magnificent 30,000 acre native broadleaf forest for the benefit of the environment, people and wildlife. It will be protected and secured for generations to come.

So far more almost 1.9 million new trees have been planted, covering around 4,000 acres across Worcestershire and Warwickshire. These new woodlands make up the significant part of our 7,000 acre Forest, which consists of a mosaic of habitats that provide a safe and permanent place for wildlife as well as an escape for people from the urban environments surrounding it.

We have recently been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Green Recovery Challenge Fund to deliver a ground-breaking project that will support a green recovery in the Midlands.

The grant will also enable a step-change in our delivery as we bring together our significant habitat creation and restoration work, our commitment to developing talent, and mission to educate, inspire and connect people from all backgrounds with nature.

The project scale and scope is huge, and at the heart of the project is the creation of 12 natural environment jobs that will play a key role in delivering this pioneering project that will be transformational, not just for the charity and its work, but also for the region and the wider sector.

The Heart of England Forest is a vibrant and rewarding place to work. Joining the charity as part of the Green Recovery in the Heart of England project delivery team offers the unique chance to play a key part in delivering momentous and meaningful work today, that establishes long-term foundations for further growth tomorrow.

If you share our ambition, we have a number of exciting opportunity for you to join us. The charity is a rewarding place to work and offers its staff a number of benefits.
