Ecological Field Surveyors

Keystone Ecology

Paid • Full or Part Time • Temporary [email protected]

Sectors: ecology

Closing date: Not specified, apply soon!

We are looking for a number of enthusiastic Field Ecologists to help us deliver a major infrastructure contract in the Midlands area.

You will need to have a qualification in Ecology or a related field and ideally have experience of protected species survey, however we are able to provide relevant training for surveyors to carry out some aspects of survey work under licences held by our experienced staff, or to accompany our surveyors for health and safety reasons.

At present we have a specific requirement for ecologists with experience supervising GCN fence and capture effort installation, GCN surveyors with translocation experience and assistants who do not need any experience, with work for potentially up to a 6 month period (from February 2021 onwards).

We are also looking for individuals with experience operating as Ecological Clerk of Works for Nesting birds, conducting pre works inspections and supervising sensitive vegetation clearance.

If we do not have immediate assignments for suitably qualified candidates then details will be kept on a database to enable us to match candidates to assignments throughout the survey season.

Rates will be agreed on a project by project basis.

You will need:

  • A full clean driving licence
  • Your own car
  • A mobile phone which you would be willing to use to liaise with the office
  • Willingness to work independently
  • This project requires a CSCS card and 1 day First Aid certification, so this would be an advantage
