Ecology Project Manager

We are recruiting an Ecology Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and friendly team. This position can be based out of several offices around England. Currently we are home-working and this is likely to continue, and we are happy to consider home and remote working options to suit the successful applicant. The position is permanent and full time.

The role:

The role primarily involves managing ecology projects. You will often work on fast-moving and dynamic infrastructure schemes, as well as a wide range of projects from our portfolio. You will be working closely with many of our staff and will be supported by a senior project director.

The job will be office rather than field-based and may suit ecologists who wish to develop in a project management and coordination direction. There may be opportunities to get involved in survey work when required.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Management of projects to ensure their delivery on time and in budget. 
• Managing ecological survey work, involving our staff and extensive network of ecologist subcontractors, with input from our dedicated support team.
• Being the main point of contact for project clients.
• Providing input to reports, bids and tenders. 

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience in ecological consultancy
• Be highly organised, IT literate and experienced in using common MS office software packages.
• Be a strong communicator
• Be dynamic and motivated
• Be able to work under pressure and quickly adapt to changing work requirements
• Be conscientious and have attention to detail 

Desirable:

• Experience of working on large infrastructure projects
• Experience of managing and coordinating large teams of people working remotely
