Are you passionate about participation and committed to conservation?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic volunteer coordinator to lead and develop our work with communities across Sherwood Forest.

Miner2Major is a Landscape Partnership Scheme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund focusing on the diverse wildlife, important habitats and rich heritage of Sherwood Forest. It is delivered by a partnership of local authorities, conservation groups and community organisations.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is proud to lead the ‘Better Habitats’ and ‘Saving Sherwood’s Special Species’ projects, part of the Connecting Sherwood theme within the Miner2Major Landscape Partnership Scheme.

You will build strong links with communities already using the landscape on their doorstep to provide opportunities for greater involvement. Central to this is the development of active and sustainable volunteer networks to support conservation land management in the ‘Better Habitats’ project area. You’ll also support the delivery of other engagement projects including working with young people, training, access improvements and interpretation.

As Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s lead contact with communities in the project area, you’ll work closely with colleagues and with other delivery partners to support the involvement of those experiencing barriers to opportunities and learning.
