  • A team player willing to support colleagues by performing a range of functions
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and keen to learn
  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Support for CLC's lobbying work, including preparation of consultation responses
  • Preparation of briefing notes, meeting agendas and minutes, newsletters and press releases
  • Provision of secretariat support for clients e.g. membership subscriptions, maintaining databases, group e-mail lists and websites
  • Helping to co-ordinate client meetings and events

Skills/Experience required

  • Degree in a relevant science-based subject preferably environmental sciences, chemistry or chemical engineering
  • Demonstrable understanding of EU and UK political processes

  • Interest in key topics such as circular economy, recycling, waste management and climate change
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate written material
  • Quick learner able to get up to speed with new policy areas and analyse their importance for our clients and organisational objectives
  • Self-starter who is happy to work in a demanding role
  • Good IT knowledge and experience using MS Office and virtual meeting software
  • Excellent time management and ability to work remotely

Desirable Skills/Experience:
