The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland.

Working as part of a UK wide team the Land & Property Manager will manage all land and property acquisition, disposal, legal, tenancy and agricultural aspects of the Woodland Trust sites in conjunction with the Scotland & Northern Ireland estate team and respective country directors engaging with external parties, leading on internal approval processes, managing the land registration process and instructing solicitors and specialist agents or consultants. The role will assist in delivering the UK Land Plan as it applies to Scotland and Northern Ireland, along with colleagues, together with the delivery of carbon sequestration projects.

A qualified rural chartered surveyor, with a good understanding of Scottish and Northern Ireland land use policies, you’ll have experience leading complex multi-disciplinary projects to plan, monitor and deliver on time and to budget.

You’ll have experience of the management of rural property and be commercially aware, able to deliver value for money from all operations and understand the need to balance the organisational benefits against the costs of delivery.

The successful candidate will ideally be located in Scotland where the majority of the work is based, but candidates based in Northern Ireland will be considered.

There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to achieve our vision. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance, good holiday and the opportunity to work flexibly from home.
