We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Energy Saving Trust’s Evaluation team. As a quantitative research expert with advanced Excel and data analysis skills, as well as familiarity with evaluation techniques, you will help the team deliver evaluation evidence to identify and quantify emissions from EST’s corporate activities and emission reductions from EST’s programmes.

You will work with complex national and international standards for calculating emission inventories and emission reductions, such as DEFRA Guidelines and the GHG Protocol. You will also support the Evaluation Manager to deliver a variety of evaluation work which will include data collection, analysing data from multiple sources, including primary survey data, programme monitoring information and secondary data in order to assess the impact of sustainable energy programmes.

Your ability to plan and prioritise work is essential in this busy environment, along with demonstrated effective communication skills enabling you to deliver a high standard of customer service to people at different levels. Your experience of measuring emissions (including advanced understanding of principles of emissions accounting and working to complex standards) and project management, together with your ability to manipulate and analyse data, will underpin the successful delivery of this role.

This is a fixed-term contract based in Edinburgh (Cardiff and London also considered). The contract will last for 20 months, with a view to convert the position to permanent. The estimated start date is 23 November 2020.
