Ecological Field Surveyors

Keystone Ecology

Paid • Full or Part Time • Temporary

Sectors: ecology

Closing date: Not specified, apply soon!

We are looking for a number of enthusiastic Field Ecologists to help us deliver a current major infrastructure contract in the Birmingham area.

You will need to have a qualification in Ecology or a related field and ideally have experience of protected species survey, however we are able to provide relevant training for surveyors to carry out some aspects of survey work under licences held by our experienced staff, or to accompany our surveyors for health and safety reasons.

At present we have a specific requirement for ecologists with experience undertaking licensed Great Crested Newt pitfall trapping.

If we do not have immediate assignments for suitably qualified candidates then details will be kept on a database to enable us to match candidates to assignments throughout the survey season.

Rates will be agreed on a project by project basis.

You will need:

  • A full clean driving licence
  • Your own car
  • A mobile phone which you would be willing to use to liaise with the office
  • Willingness to work independently
  • This project requires a CSCS card and 1 day First Aid certification, so this would be an advantage
