Role Purpose

The post holder will protect and enhance the environment by effective and efficient investigation of complex environmental offending with the emphasis on waste carriers and brokers offences.

This role will provide operational enforcement work primarily at a place level, but may involving providing support to the wider organisation. The post holder will respond safely, timely and efficiently to environmental incidents / reports and undertake appropriate investigation work.

Through application of our Regulatory Principles – ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, undertake proportionate enforcement action and achieve tangible multiple benefits from our regulatory interventions.

Qualifications and Skills

You will have:

  • Knowledge of key legislative regimes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with regulated business and the public and gaining support by influencing.
  • Comfortable and competent in dealing with challenging situations and individuals.
