We are looking for a Project Assistant who wants to change the world

We are seeking a temporary Project Assistant to support a range of cutting edge air quality programmes. This opportunity is for an initial 6 month contract, with potential to extend beyond this period once the 6 months is complete.

You will work alongside the Clean Air Project Officers and Programme Managers to ensure the successful delivery of projects across Global Action Plan’s Clean Air portfolio – with a focus on Clean Air Day. You will understand project impact targets across the portfolio and will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of projects, from assisting with events, supporting project systems, to information and communication gathering.

Your main areas of delivery:

  • Deliver excellent on-the-ground engagement activities/project research and support/project management support/client management support
  • Manage logistics/administrative support for internal and external meetings and events
  • Support project systems and reporting
  • Write and disseminate project updates for key stakeholders
  • Help collate communications content and data on projects to measure and communicate our success
  • Provide general logistics and administrative support where required
  • Support the delivery of air quality programmes across the team’s portfolio as required

Key skills and experience

We are looking for a passionate, driven and organised individual who cares about air pollution. You will have a proven track record of working on people-facing programmes and of administration. We are looking for someone with the following:

Required

  • Great organisational skills and real attention to detail
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills with flexibility to address a range of audiences both written and verbal
  • Strong comprehension of sustainability and how that applies to people’s everyday realities
  • Ability to self-manage and be proactive and flexible
  • Confident in prioritisation and managing own workload
  • Confident using and experience with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Academic qualifications are not required however in the absence of these previous office-based experience is essential.

Desirable:

In addition, the following experience and skills are applicable, although not all are essential for the role:

  • A strong knowledge of air quality
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Data analysis experience
  • Strong research skills
