We are looking for a Change Officer who wants to change the world

We are seeking a temporary Change Officer to support a range of cutting edge air quality programmes. This opportunity is for an initial 6 month contract, with potential to extend beyond this period once the 6 months is complete.

The Change officer will work alongside the Senior Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of projects across Global Action Plan’s Clean Air portfolio. You will understand project impact targets across this portfolio and will play a vital role in the day-to-day delivery of projects, including meeting and events coordination, project systems, M&E and communications support.

Your main areas of delivery will involve:

  • Monitoring project systems and reporting
  • Coordinating day to day communications and data collection to measure and communicate our successes
  • Coordinate logistics and administrative support for meetings and events
  • Support the delivery of programmes across the clean air team, especially within the healthcare space
  • Delivering excellent on-the-ground engagement activities/project research and support/project management support/client management support
  • Prepare facilitation packs and materials for workshops, and provide logistics support during events
  • Coordinate the feedback and write up from workshops and events
  • Ensure clear financial process are in place and well managed for larger events
  • Source engaging information on project activities for use in communication materials
  • Support the preparation of high-quality communications materials
  • Procure equipment and services for the project team as required

Key skills and experience

We are looking for a passionate, driven and organised individual with a proven track record of working on people-facing programmes, and of administration. We are looking for someone with the following:


  • Great organisational skills and real attention to detail
  • Experience of managing small projects
  • Experience of event organisation and logistics
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills with flexibility to address a range of audiences both written and verbal
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience of communicating complex issues effectively
  • Ability to self-manage and be proactive and flexible
  • Confident in prioritisation and managing own workload
  • Strong comprehension of sustainability and how that applies to people’s everyday realities
  • Academic qualifications are not required however in the absence of these previous office-based experience is essential.


In addition, the following experience and skills are applicable, although not all are essential for the role:

  • A strong knowledge of air quality
  • Budget management
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Data analysis experience
  • Strong research skills
  • Experience supporting junior team members
  • Confident using and experience with Microsoft Office
