Events Assistant (North London) – 4 posts

Salary: £10.75 per hour

Location: Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, 62 Market Parade, London N9 0TZ

Contract: Casual contract until 29 February 2020

The North London Waste Authority is working with Keep Britain Tidy to deliver a food waste prevention event in Enfield on Saturday 29th February. The food waste prevention event aims to engage with residents on reducing food waste with a focus on potatoes.

We are looking for four Events Assistants who will work on the event (5-6 hours). The project will start with training on Monday 24th February 2020 for one day, and is expected to finish with the event on Saturday 29th February 2020 which is also 1 day (total of 2 working days)

The successful applicants will have an interest in and understanding of the environment and waste sectors, excellent interpersonal skills and experience of engaging with the public.

These positions will provide sought-after experience for those looking for a career in the environmental sector, especially the waste and recycling industry, and are paid at or above the London Living Wage. In joining this project you also have the opportunity of joining our Bank of Casual Workers, through which further employment may be available at the end of this contract.

Full training will be provided at the start of the project.
