Wild Oxfordshire is an Oxfordshire based charity with a vision for the county’s environment to be rich in nature, healthy and sustainable, for the benefit and enjoyment of all. Our mission and our key strength are bringing people together to work collaboratively to make this vision a reality.

Working from a base in Little Wittenham in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Director will lead on the development and implementation of our strategy and co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of Wild Oxfordshire’s experienced staff to achieve our strategic objectives. The Director will be accountable to the trustees for all aspects of Wild Oxfordshire’s operations including fundraising, finance, communication, marketing and the maintenance of relationships with members, partners and stakeholders.

The role will require an individual with diverse talents including good people and communication skills, a proven ability to think and act strategically, and a successful track-record in fund-raising and programme management.

The role will provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and committed person to help shape and lead the response to the many challenges that nature faces within Oxfordshire. It is an opportunity to deliver, at a county-wide level, the UK ambition to become the first generation to leave that environment in a better state than we received it.

This post is offered initially for a period of 18 months with the expectation that this will become permanent subject to funding.
