Wild Service is the Ecological Consultancy of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. As such, the company reinvests its profits into local conservation work undertaken by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. We provide ecological surveys, assessments, mitigation, advice and guidance regarding wildlife, plants and habitats for both development and conservation projects throughout the UK.

We are looking for a highly motivated Graduate ecologist to assist us with our ecological work, with a focus on protected species surveys. The candidate should have some experience of undertaking bat and great crested newt surveys plus a basic ecological knowledge. The candidate must have a driving licence and use of a car. The candidate will need to work antisocial hours as necessary to meet survey requirements and should also be able to work away when required, although we tend to work locally.

The role will involve assisting members of the team with various ecological surveys including protected species surveys (e.g. for bats and great crested newts), collating/reviewing ecological data and assisting with the preparation of ecological reports and plans.
