The Learning Volunteer Support and Safeguarding Officer sits within the Learning and Participation department, which engages a diverse range of audiences with Kew Science and Horticulture.

You will work across the organisation, playing a vital part in supporting, implementing and developing Kew’s safeguarding policy and procedures. You will also coordinate a team of 35 learning volunteers, supporting the formal learning programme at Kew.

Kew is the world’s leading botanic gardens, at the forefront of plant and fungal science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction.

You will be an exceptionally well organised individual, with experience of working with safeguarding policies and procedures, and experience of mentoring and supporting a diverse range of volunteers.

You will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a clear passion for learning and Kew’s mission.

This role is subject to an enhanced and barred list Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
