NHBS is looking for a Customer Services Advisor to join our busy Customer Services team in our office in Totnes. It is the first point of contact for the company's diverse range of customers. We interact with all other departments in the company to appropriately direct customer queries and process orders as smoothly as possible. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role for the right person. No two days are the same!

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Adding and processing customer quotations and orders
  • Assisting customers over the phone, by email and in person
  • Investigating and solving all order or product-related queries
  • Processing any returns, refunds and credits
  • Other customer-related tasks as required
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Using the company CRM application Netsuite, and other applications
  • Applying discretion and sensitivity when dealing with customers
  • Always displaying a calm and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
  • Multitasking and the ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environment

We are looking for:

  • Some experience in a customer-facing role
  • Great attention to detail
  • A people person who can relate to customers and understand their queries in order to offer appropriate solutions
  • A confident telephone manner
  • The ability to write clearly and precisely
  • A great team player
  • Willingness to learn on-the-go and get stuck in
  • A postitive attitude to problem solving 

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Interest or background in ecology and conservation
  • A second language in addition to English, preferably German since we are opening a subsidiary in Germany 
  • Knowledge of customer services software

Our offer to you:

This permanent position is available immediately. Salary: £16,500 – 18,000 p.a. (depending on experience), based on a 37.5 hour week Monday - Friday, with the position attracting 28 days holiday p.a including bank holidays, up to three paid days of conservation volunteering p.a. and a generous company pension.
