Engagement Officer

£24,446 pro rata per annum

18.75 hours per week – contract to 31 December 2020 - main base Colchester

The exciting variety of this new interesting role will lead engagement activities within the Colchester Community-Led Street Design project around the Winstree Road neighbourhood of the city. The objective will be to give communities greater control over their immediate environment and support them to work together to improve quality of life for everyone living in or visiting the area.

With a good standard of education, you will have experience of delivering a practical project with community engagement as a core element, involving local people using creative and eye catching methods. You will also have experience of leading group workshops and organising and running events. You will have excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills, the ability to delivery engagement activities and promotional events and to motivate and enthuse others. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage your own workload. You will also be IT literate and committed to the promotion of sustainable transport. Clearance by a DBS Disclosure check is mandatory for this role.
