Community and Business Energy Advisor
Salary: £23,327 to £24,143 pro rata depending on experience
Location: Based Ipswich,
to work across Suffolk and Norfolk.
Hours: Full time (37 hours) or part time (min 22.5 hours per week)
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract (with potential for extension)
Groundwork East has over 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future. As our activities develop and our area of activity expands we are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and creative people to help us continue to develop and deliver our work with local communities to improve their prospects and environment.
As a Community and Business Energy Advisor you will deliver on-site and distance support to local community organisations and community energy groups with energy efficiency advice and grant applications and supporting the local authority with their power purchase agreement programme. You will also deliver on-site and distance support to businesses through the Carbon Charter project, undertake environmental audits and reviews, carbon footprinting and the development of sustainability and carbon management strategies.
The role requires a valid driving license, access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel, excellent communication, organisational and diplomacy skills.
