Sustrans, the charity that's enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day, is seeking to fill the following key vacancies within our Research & Monitoring unit:

Evaluation Officer, Research & Monitoring Unit

£24,446 per annum

2 vacancies - 37.5 hours per week - based in Newcastle

Sustrans Research & Monitoring Unit is responsible for providing evidence on sustainable and active travel that is transparent and authoritative and which influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK. We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team of analysts, researchers and evaluation specialists to support the monitoring and evaluation of our work. These interesting and challenging roles will include leading projects and supporting others in the team with activities such as data collection, data analysis, reporting, internal liaison and external communications.

If you have experience in the planning and delivery of research, monitoring and evaluation projects and have strong analytical skills then this could be the right role for you. You will have knowledge of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data collation and analysis approaches and the ability to produce clear reports. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload and be able to work under pressure with limited supervision. You will also be committed to the promotion of walking and cycling.

Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 09:00am on Tuesday 17 December 2019. Interviews will take place in Newcastle during week commencing Monday 13 January 2020.
