The Quality Assurance and Certification team audit and certify over a thousand BREEAM assessments each year, working with several thousand BREEAM assessors. This role is crucial to the operation of our BREEAM certification business, ensuring that the robustness of our scheme is maintained and that our customers are provided with a professional, thorough and high-quality service.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Carrying out technical audits of BREEAM assessments, with and without the use of translators
  • Providing clear and concise feedback to licensed assessors, within agreed timescales
  • Liaising with assessors to ensure they are kept updated on the status of their assessments
  • Maintenance of all relevant records and databases relating to certification work processed
  • Answering of technical queries
  • Supporting consultants in answering of their technical queries
  • Contribution to on-going improvement of the QA and technical query processes
  • Other tasks as required by the needs of the operational team

 Must have: (essential skills)

  • Knowledge of the building and construction industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail is an essential requirement
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Articulate, numerate and have good customer service skills
  • Competent in the use of MS Office Suite and online databases
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and high workloads

Great to also have: (desirable skills & experience):

  • Experience of working with developments undergoing BREEAM assessment would be a significant advantage
  • Trained as a BREEAM and/or HQM/Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor
