To assist in the management of award winning local authority practice; leading the development, design and project management of a range of projects which will contribute to shaping the future of Glasgow's Parks and open spaces. You will also assist with the management of the Landscape Design function to ensure that resources are fully utilised in the delivery of an efficient and effective service. You must have significant Landscape Design experience on a range of project types, the ability to manage projects with a proven track record of delivering Infrastructure/regeneration/development/inclusion projects, including demonstrable project appraisal and financial management skills. Contract administration and client liaison skills under time and financial pressure and the ability to influence others is essential. Good organisational, leadership, IT skills and strong analytical skills are also required. Effective presentation skills and excellent communication skills are a prerequisite as you will lead discussions with community groups and external partner organisations. You must also be skilled in working with a range of people, including local communities and appropriate partner organisations across both public/private sectors and be able to balance competing demands. Familiarity with the planning system, urban design and place-making principles, CAD knowledge, a good working knowledge of local government procedures and a current driving licence are essential. A Degree or equivalent level qualification in Landscape Architecture or a related subject is preferred, although not essential.
