An opportunity has arisen for a Conservation Officer to co-ordinate the delivery of a DEFRA-funded ‘Tests and Trials’ project which aims to lay the foundations for a new Environmental Land Management system which supports Nature Recovery and other Ecosystem Services in the North Pennines. The Test will involve working collaboratively with farmers and land managers in the co-design of simple land management plans, rooted in the AONB Management Plan.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent, in ecology, environment, biological sciences, land management, or related subject. Your significant experience will include successful working on biodiversity projects. An ability to develop partnerships and co-operation between organisations and individuals along with the ability to undertake work with farming communities is essential.
