The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.

The primary purpose of these roles is to engage with our visitors at Greenham & Crookham and Snelsmore Commons, informing them about the heathland and its associated wildlife whilst encouraging them to stay on paths and keep their dogs under control during the bird-nesting season. There will be opportunities to run several exciting events, lead guided walks, undertake ecological surveys/monitoring and carry out visitor surveys. Wardens will produce a summary report at the end of the season.

We are looking for people who are excellent communicators, have a good knowledge of wildlife and conservation, can be flexible about their working hours and would enjoy spending all their time outside walking around the common, interacting with our visitors and engendering enthusiasm and respect for the wonderful wildlife that lives here.
