We are looking for someone with applied ecological knowledge and strong engagement skills to join the team.

Business Conservation Adviser
Ref: A2821019
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: £25,463 to £27,585 per annum. Applicants should expect under normal circumstances to receive an offer at the bottom of advertised range.
Hours: Full time
Contract: Fixed Term contract until 31 March 2023

You will be responsible for fostering close links with golf course managers, and representatives of golfing organisations, and for providing advice to help conserve priority species and enhance habitats on golf courses.

The partnership works strategically to realise net-gain for biodiversity in the context of sustainable golf course management, and so provide people with nature rich places to play. As well providing advice, you will be the primary link between RSPB specialists and golf course management organisations to help information exchange on a range of aspects including sustainability policy, natural capital, monitoring, and species ecology.

The role also includes producing case studies, communications materials and representing the partnership at conferences and events. It sits within the RSPB's Sector Advice team, which works with businesses and land owners to create habitats, conserve rare species and to provide a better environment in which to live.

You will be a confident communicator, with organisational and project management skills, and the drive to make things happen. Experience of working with the golf sector would also be an advantage.

Closing date: 14 November 2019
Interview date: 22 November 2019, 25 November 2019
