Role Purpose

The post holder will contribute to the planning, development and compilation of the State of Natural Resources Report (SoNaRR) and associated work programmes by providing support, advice and guidance to contributors across NRW and national stakeholders. The post holder will also provide support to other statutory environmental reporting and assessment work as required.

Qualifications and Skills

You will have previous practical experience in a discrete technical discipline or scientific environment which enables you to implement programmes of work.

You will have subject matter expertise within a defined and discrete technical discipline that enables you to provide guidance to others.

You do not require any specific qualifications, but it is expected that you will have achieved the equivalent of Level 4 of the Credit & Qualifications Framework for Wales, or you will have the equivalent level of knowledge.

You will, given the technical nature of the work, be required to remain up to date with change that relate to your technical discipline.

You will have good communication, literacy, numeracy and IT skills including systems knowledge.

You will have analytical skills that enable you to produce accurate reports and information based on sound analytical processes.

You will have good inter-personal skills and able to foster good working relationships and deal with potentially challenging and sensitive situations.
