We are looking for a highly motivated ecologist, passionate about making it easier for people to walk and cycle, with relevant experience to join our team.

Ecologist (SUS2746)

£31,058 per annum

Up to 37.5 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part-time hours and/or a job share will be considered)

Based in either Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester (other locations will be considered to suit the successful candidate)

This role will have the responsibility of supporting the Senior Ecologist in advising on all ecological aspects of Sustrans work throughout the UK. In collaboration with colleagues and partners across a wide range of disciplines, you will support the delivery of new walking and cycling infrastructure and the maintenance of existing walking and cycling routes across the UK.

With significant practical experience in relevant previous roles, higher level vocational qualification or degree in ecology or equivalent, your expertise will guide our approach to designing and undertaking construction work. In addition you will implement ecological best practice across the organisation.
