SAMS Group, based in Oban, is seeking to appoint a Marine Environmental Consultant to join our Enterprise team on a short-term basis. We operate in the field of marine environmental sciences, with a focus on mining, marine renewables, aquaculture and remote sensing technology development. Working closely with research colleagues, the team provides services including surveys and impact assessments to public and private sector clients.

Ideally educated to postgraduate level in marine/environmental sciences, with industrial client experience, the successful candidate will utilise their experience to carry out environmental consultancy duties including project management and delivery, customer account management, opportunity generation and tender preparation. They will work alongside the Proposals Manager and report to the Senior Consultant/Project Manager.

As a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication and organisational skills, you will enjoy the challenge of working at the interface of scientific research, industrial challenges and evidence-based policymaking.
