Closing date: Friday, 1st November 2019

We’re looking for an Operations Officer to join the expanding wholesale team at Midsummer Energy. Working with the Operations Manager, you will help with a wide variety of tasks, from stock management and procurement, to dealing with our courier and warehousing partners, to sorting out incoming goods and returns. As we are a relatively small team, there will also be opportunities to get involved in other aspects of the business such as sales, marketing and finance. In busy periods you will be expected to lend a hand in the warehouse to help process and pack orders.

This post is a great opportunity for you to get a foothold in the renewables industry, whilst learning about international trade and all aspects of running a small business. Disappearing into a large organisation or doing the same thing every day doesn't appeal, and you'd like to put your skills to use to make the planet greener as well as earn your keep. You will be busy – every day will bring a different challenge – but this is a real opportunity to make a difference in a small but ambitious and rapidly growing company by keeping our systems running smoothly.

An eye for detail and a friendly, helpful and professional manner with customers are key. Prior experience in operations or administration would be an advantage – but we are equally keen to hear from applicants who are taking their first career steps and can show they can take initiative and are quick to learn.

There is a fantastic future for solar and energy storage in the UK, so there will be plenty of opportunities for career progression. We aim to be a friendly, relaxed but dynamic place to work. We're passionate about the environment, and we've gained a reputation for a helpful and open approach to business. The salary for this post is £23K to £27K depending on experience. Long term employees also share in the profits of the company.

To apply, please complete this application form before the 1st November and also send your CV to jobs@midsummerenergy.co.uk giving your name and 'Operations Officer' as the subject line.
