An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Operations Service for a Recycling and Waste Minimisation Advisor within the Recycling team. You will support the design and delivery of educational sessions to residents, schools and community groups, will act as the point of contact for residents and provide administrative support for the Operations Services. The role is a full time, permanent basis and you will receive £19,752 - £22,689 per annum plus excellent benefits.

As our Recycling & Waste Minimisation Advisor you will monitor the kerbside refuse and recycling collections and encourage resident participation in, and correct use of, the Council’s waste services using a range of appropriate communications including education to recycling and waste reduction.

What we’re looking for in our Recycling & Waste Minimisation Advisor:

  • Confident and experienced in dealing with people, with the ability to establish credibility at all levels
  • A genuine commitment towards the environment and preventing waste is essential, due to the nature of the message and its target audience
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Power Point
  • You should possess a full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use
