We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person with a strong background in community engagement to join our conservation advocacy team. You will oversee the planning and delivery of the Conservation Communities Project, coordinating a varied programme of community events and training sessions in the Torridge Valley between Great Torrington and Hatherleigh.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator. They will have previous experience in project management, organising and delivering regular events in a conservation setting, of managing contractors and supervising volunteers and community groups.

The postholder will work with our partner organisations and be in regular contact with our north Devon teams. They will work with specialists to deliver training sessions, events and management plans with residents, schools and local groups. This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment until March 2022, based at DWT’s Cookworthy office in North Devon. There may be an opportunity to work at home or from our Exeter office with agreement of the line manager.
