Do you want to play a part in making Central Scotland richer in wildlife? The area encompasses a range of fantastic habitats from the estuaries of the Forth and Clyde to the Forth seabird islands and the high-nature value farmlands of eastern Fife. The area is home to a host of iconic species such as sea eagles, huge flocks of wintering waders, corn bunting and swifts. The Central Scotland area is also home to most of Scotland's people, providing us with an amazing opportunity to inspire them with wildlife and influence them to take action to conserve it, including in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We're looking for an Administrator to join our newly established Central Scotland team, that delivers the RSPB's work across this area - including on our nature reserves, with schools and communities in Edinburgh and Glasgow and through major partnership projects. You will provide general administrative support to this team, ensuring that our systems are effective and the staff have the help they require with running meetings and planning and delivering events.

In addition, you will work with the Office Manager and Finance Administrator in Glasgow to ensure that all office support requirements are carried out to a high standard and to provide a helpful, friendly and enthusiastic front-office team - in many instances providing members of the public with their first point of contact with the RSPB.

We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail but is also able to take a flexible and pragmatic approach. You will be solutions-focused and astute at juggling a variety of tasks. You'll be great at building effective relationships with a wide range of people, while ensuring that confidential and sensitive matters are handled appropriately. You will be provided with opportunities to develop new skills and build on existing areas of expertise.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly office and to play your part in delivering RSPB's objectives within areas rich in wildlife and important for people - if this sounds like the job for you, we would love to hear from you.
