We are looking for an Assistant Reserve Warden to work with the College Lake Warden to carry out management of College Lake and Pitstone Fen nature reserves.

This role will involve working with existing volunteer teams to implement practical reserve management across these sites.

College Lake is a main visitor site for the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust, has a busy visitor centre, with over 40,000 visitors a year. As a result the site has high impact on the Trust’s reputation and profile.

Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in applied nature conservation management, good knowledge of ecological principles and habitat management and will have experience in leading volunteers or supervising others. This post will require some weekend working (1 in 4 weekends) and some evening working.

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
