CDP is looking for a full-time Senior Content Manager to be based in our London headquarters. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark in a dynamic business and city-facing organization.

Job purpose

Lead, develop and deliver a global content strategy and plan, creating and maintaining content to achieve the overall goals of CDP with a strong focus on the work of the Science Based Targets initiative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the strategic development of communication materials, that will deliver CDPs goals, objectives and messages, at a corporate brand as well as workstream (eg stakeholder/ theme) level;
  • Develop and implement a global content strategy aligned with the overall CDP communications strategy that supports the successful delivery of CDPs priority programs.
  • Develop and implement a content strategy aligned with the overall communications strategy for the Science Based Targets initiative, working with the communications team;
  • Work with the digital and communications team members to plan and develop site content, style and layout for CDP pages and Science Based Targets initiative websites;
  • Work alongside the digital and communications team members to ensure the implementation of content distribution via online channels and social media platforms is in line with content plans, against agreed metrics;
  • Optimise content according to SEO;
  • Write, edit, proofread and improve content and check for brand consistency;
  • Coordinate content planning and calendar across CDP’s activities and the Science Based Targets initiative communications teams and with external partners as required;
  • Create engagement and communications strategy for content in coordination with internal teams and key external stakeholders;
  • Working alongside communications managers, liaise with relevant CDP teams and Science Based Targets initiative colleagues to support and advise on content appropriate to their target audiences and objectives;
  • Work closely with digital team to ensure clear processes for website governance, workflows and approval;
  • Work closely with communications managers to ensure a fully integrated approach to campaign and content development; and
  • Line manage the content executive and responsibility for oversight of North American content lead.
  • The precise description and nature of your role may be varied from time and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary.

This is a full time role based at CDP’s London office reporting to the Global Director of Communications and Marketing.

Salary and benefits: £38,000 - £42,000, generous non-contributory pension provision, annual discretionary bonus (depending on company performance), Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and others.
