Sustrans is seeking to recruit a number of passionate people to ensure the success of the Healthy Streets Approach:

Behaviour Change, London

£28,441 per annum

(inclusive of a London Weighting allowance of £3,995pa)

37.5 hours per week – funding to 31 August 2022 - based in London

Sustrans is working with Transport for London’s Healthy Streets programme across Greater London to support people to travel more by walking, cycling and using public transport and this is an exciting opportunity for Healthy Streets Officers to assist London boroughs to promote active travel by delivering behaviour change projects that respond to local needs by organising activities and events in schools and communities; increasing uptake of Cycle Skills training; and improving school engagement with TfL’s sustainable travel accreditation scheme STARS (Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe).

With experience of delivering practical projects within a community based environment, you will have previously worked with children and young people and have experience of working with a diverse range of adults. You will also have experience of partnership working and delivering projects with competing priorities. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation and organisational skills and the ability to motivate and enthuse others. An understanding of issues facing communities that experience inequalities is required and you will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.

Please quote reference number. Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Tuesday 27 August 2019. Interviews will take place in London on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 September 2019.

Sustrans is committed to reducing inequality, valuing diversity and enabling inclusion. We welcome applications from people with the appropriate skills from all parts of the community.
