Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle. We connect people and places, create liveable neighbourhoods, transform the school run and deliver a happier, healthier commute. Sustrans is seeking to recruit a number of passionate people to join our team in London:

Behaviour Change Officers, London (SUS2722)

£28,441 per annum (inclusive of a London Weighting allowance of £3,995pa)

Differing working hours per week are available – based in London

The exciting responsibilities of this role will be to deliver behaviour change projects in a range of settings, including schools, universities, workplaces and communities, which support people to travel more by walking and cycling and to promote active travel to adults and children in the context of each project, for example, enabling cycling to school by delivering the Sustrans Bike It project.

You will recruit local ‘champions’ and work with partners to develop projects and resources that respond to the needs of a diverse range of Londoners and local communities.

With experience of delivering practical projects within a community based environment, you will have previously worked with children and young people and have experience of working with a diverse range of adults. You will also have experience of partnership working and delivering projects with competing priorities. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation and organisational skills, be IT literate and have the abilityto motivate and enthuse others. An understanding of issues facing communities that experience inequalities is required and you will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
