Job Description

Ridgewater Energy design, develop and deliver various fuel poverty and energy efficiency projects and offer consultancy to Local Authorities as well as advising householders on saving energy in the home, and landlords on meeting their legislative obligations.

We currently work with BCP Council and Exeter City Council delivering insulation and heating programmes to qualifying privately rented, owner occupier and park home households. 

Due to expansion, an exciting position has become available for a Home Energy Advisor to join our friendly team based in Dorset. The successful applicant will earn £24,000 per annum, in addition to use of a company vehicle, pension, health care package and 24 days holiday a year.

Full induction will be given, and there will be an opportunity to take additional training courses as required. You will have a varied workload and will assist with other project requirements from time to time.

Role requirements (Essential)

  • An basic understanding of energy efficiency.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • A good communicator.
  • Good writing and analytical skills 
  • 5 GCSE’s at grades A-E. 

Role requirements (Desirable)

  • 2+ years’ working in the energy efficiency industry.
  • 2+ years’ working as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
  • A Levels, further or higher education.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Completing home energy visits.
  • Completing and lodging Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s).
  • Completing paperwork for various projects. 
  • Making appointments
