Hays Construction & Property is proud to be working in partnership with Kettering Borough Council who are looking to recruit a Street Scene Enforcement Officer to join their team. 

Due to their on going commitment to environment services Kettering Borough Council are looking to add to their current team. This is a rewarding role with a progressive and forward thinking council.  

About the role 

To undertake all aspects of enforcement activities for environmental offences either reported or identified as occurring within the borough / Corby and Kettering’s shared service area.  

Investigate and where appropriate, application of enforcement or prosecution action for environmental crime related offences including those related to littering, fly-tipping, dog fouling, waste presentation, graffiti, flyposting and/or any other relevant environmental crime. 

To directly support the street scene shared service by delivering high quality investigations and enforcement actions promptly and efficiently.

To support the operational workforce within the shared service, by delivering advice and training to allow frontline staff to provide intelligence and evidence.

To enhance the environmental appearance of the borough’s and to help to make them a friendlier and more welcoming environment to live in, work in and visit through a process of enviro-crime enforcement.

  • This post will work across both Corby and Kettering Borough Council
  • Ongoing training is essential
  • Post holder must be willing to travel
  • Post holder must hold a valid driving licence
  • Post holder must be willing to attend evening meetings as and when required
  • The post holder must work flexible hours, to tackle specific environmental crimes
