Join our vibrant organisation!

Marwell Wildlife is seeking a dynamic and collaborative interpretation and public engagement innovator to develop and deliver our brand of experiential public engagement in nature, wildlife conservation and sustainable living. As a genuinely collaborative and embracing character, the successful candidate will bring an infectious enthusiasm for nature and its value for human wellbeing. They will have a relevant post-graduate qualification, a track record in successful planning, delivery and evaluation of interpretation and public engagement activities, and above all, key managerial qualities to lead and nurture and establish a large team of volunteers.

In the coming years, there will be an emphasis on growing our team of voluntary educators to share their enthusiasm with a growing audience of over half a million guests who love to learn. At the same time, we are creating new and exciting zoological exhibits focussed on natural history and global environmental issues. Interpretation must also appeal to the growing number of over 40,000 school children spanning all key stages of the national curriculum. We will also seek to deliver periodic campaigns to elicit positive outcomes to support sustainability goals. We expect our interpretation and engagement strategy to embrace a variety of media from static displays to artwork, drama and interactive technologies, but with a core of warm, welcoming and compelling interactions with our team. Reporting to the Head of Social Impact & Learning, our new Interpretation and Engagement Manager will come with the expectation of fulfilling these aspirations and developing external partnerships to support them.

Placed in the top 20 of the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-For-Profit organisations, we know that our future plans will only be delivered through a great team of highly motivated people. We’ll provide a generous package and the opportunity to further develop your professional skills and abilities, to have a big say in future plans and of course, a fantastic working environment!

If you would like to join our unique and vibrant organisation and become part of our Marwell Family, please visit our website, marwell.org.uk for a full candidate brief and to submit your CV and covering letter.
