The Hawk and Owl Trust founded in 1969 is the only Charity in the UK solely dedicated to conserving all Britain’s wild birds of prey and their habitats.

Owls, Falcons, Hawks are under threat from habitat loss, persecution, nest site loss plus many other factors. The Trust works with farmers and landowners within the local community, creating habitats and installing nest boxes. Additionally, we own and manage 2 nature reserves in England. Sculthorpe Moor in Norfolk, and Shapwick Moor in Somerset.

Sculthorpe Moor was started in 2001 on the current 50-acre site. In 2019 the Trust has raised funds to purchase another 150 surrounding acres. Part of this 3-year project is to install the infrastructure and deliver activities in line with the ethos of the project.

The trust requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for birds of prey and their habitats to work alongside the current Trusts Sculthorpe Conservation Warden in a backfill post position while they are Project managing the HLF funded project.
