Project Manager - Recycling

£33,375 per annum (pay range is £33,375 - £38,883 and the successful candidate will be appointed to the starting point)

Fixed Term Contract until December 2020 – 35 hrs per week

Based in Stirling

The Role:

Zero Waste Scotland, Scotland’s resource efficiency and circular economy expert is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work in its Recycling team. This is a temporary contract until December 2020.

Working closely with and being directed by the Programme Manager this role will support a range of activities that are required to implement the recycling programme, including management of technical projects, fund administration and stakeholder engagement activities. The programme seeks to transform the way that waste and recycling is collected and managed across Scotland’s households and businesses. Drawing expertise from a team of waste professionals, the team is at the forefront of Scotland’s move towards becoming a leader in the management of resources.

The Candidate:

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Project Manager with a keen interest in the environment and environmental policy. Applicants will be able to:

  • Plan their own workload to deliver tasks to agreed timescales and prescribed requirements,
  • Manage contracts and relationships with project partners, liaising with external stakeholders as required to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance delivery of Zero Waste Scotland’s objectives,
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders,
  • Ensure delivery commitments are met on time, within budget, and meet expectations and quality standards.
