We are offering an exciting opportunity for two conscientious and dedicated Project Managers to join the rapidly growing UK Central (UKC) Programme Management Office.

The establishment of the HS2 Interchange presents a unique opportunity to realise unprecedented levels of economic growth in Solihull. To take full advantage of this enhanced connectivity, the Council has developed its ‘UK Central’ vision, which involves the delivery of one of the largest programmes of infrastructure development and delivery in the country – It is essential that this growth is sustainable and ‘Planning and delivering Solihull’s low carbon future’ is a key priority within the Council Plan

As Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and delivery of Solihull’s Green Prospectus and Growth & Investment Programmes working closely with the Group Manager Programme Development to ensure successful delivery of a variety of low carbon, air quality and future mobility projects on behalf of Project Sponsors.

We are seeking experienced and innovative Project Managers who will be able to maintain the momentum on delivering key projects, which are all at various stages of development. You will be well versed in project management processes, creative and productive partnership building and have a strong track record of delivery. Ideally you will have some experience related to low carbon infrastructure, air quality interventions or future mobility projects and be able to demonstrate good commercial acumen.

You will consider your interpersonal skills to be one of your key strengths, enabling you to engage, build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.

In return we can offer you a unique opportunity to be involved in a wide range of diverse and interesting projects with potential for further career development as the programme matures. And working for Solihull means that we can offer employees a professional and friendly working environment, together with a range of flexible working options, attractive staff benefits and a career average pension scheme.
