This exciting internship offers the chance to work in a UK-based fundraising conservation charity, providing an excellent all-round introduction to the sector. You will join a friendly and highly motivated team, based at our headquarters near London Bridge. The Internship also includes two weeks in Namibia with staff from Save the Rhino Trust, one of the field programmes supported by SRI.

This Internship runs from September 2019 to September 2020 and is suitable for recent graduates just starting a career in conservation, who have graduated in 2018 or 2019. Masters and Doctoral graduates are not eligible. The applicant must be eligible to work in the UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Events: Responsibility for SRI’s Virgin London Marathon team; providing fundraising and training advice; and managing SRI’s event on the actual day (Sunday 26 April 2020). Please note the successful applicant MUST be available to work on this day.

Administration: Maintaining stationery supplies and office equipment; managing the online shop and fulfilling merchandise and membership orders alongside general admin.

Fundraising & partnerships: Supporting the development of communication materials and grant reports for companies, zoos, and grant-making trusts and foundations.

Introduction to Save the Rhino International (SRI)

Save the Rhino works to ensure that all five rhino species thrive in the wild for future generations. We collaborate with partners to support endangered rhinos in Africa and Asia. SRI is primarily a fundraising organisation and we take a practical and evidence-based approach to our work.
