NTU has a thriving academic community, and it’s one where you’ll feel truly valued. We know our academics are central to our success as an award-winning university, and research centre of excellence.

Our rise up the league tables in recent years, alongside a number of prestigious national awards, demonstrate the potential that creating and forging excellent partnerships, while harnessing the talents of all our people, can bring. Most notably we have achieved a gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework and been awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for our pioneering research.

We are now looking for more passionate, ambitious people to join us and help build the university of the future.

Based at the Brackenhurst Campus, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, an opportunity has arisen to join an experienced team in the delivery of a suite of environmental and conservation courses. We are looking to fill the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Ecology and Conservation to prepare and deliver teaching including field trips and a range of engaging student-centred learning activities. We are particularly looking for an individual with experience in the ecology and conservation sector in positions such as nature reserve management, or within ecological consultancy.

The post-holder will be motivated and enthusiastic, contributing to learning and teaching activities whilst also being able to provide academic mentoring for students. An important part of the role will be the provision of personal tutoring of students on a range of courses in the conservation and ecology subject areas. An experience of teaching in Higher Education would be beneficial but not essential.

This post is fixed-term for one year, working full time (37 hours per week).
