Project Development Officer: Deposit Return Scheme

Starting salary £28,758 p.a. (pay range is £28,758 - £31,259 p.a. and the successful candidate will be appointed to the starting point)

Fixed Term for 12 Months – 35 Hours per week

Based in Stirling

The Role:

Zero Waste Scotland, Scotland’s resource efficiency and circular economy expert is looking for an experienced Project Officer to support activity across our Deposit Return Programme.

Zero Waste Scotland is advising the Scottish Government on design of Scotland’s deposit return scheme. This role will support activity across the programme, undertaking project activity to support project managers and project leads. This will include supporting, within the relevant processes, all aspects of project development, tender assessment, deliverables, meetings, project related events, information systems, budgets, reporting and providing advice and updates to stakeholders on project development.

The Candidate:

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong organisational skills, strong interdisciplinary and team working skills, strong level of computer literacy including MS Office, demonstrable experience of developing and implementing project plans, broad general knowledge of current policy developments in Zero Waste in Scotland and an ability to work on own initiative and be flexible to respond to changing project priorities.
