Project Officer, Groundwork East.
Term: Full time, 37 hours per week, one year fixed term contract with potential for extension.
Salary Range: £22,869- £26,242 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: based at Alconbury Weald, covering Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, with occasional travel across the East of England

Groundwork East has 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future. We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and creative people to help us continue to develop and deliver our work with local communities to improve their prospects and environment.

As Project Officer you will deliver a wide range of community and education focused projects that include:

  • Family learning / outdoor play activities
  • Providing gardening support to vulnerable and disabled residents
  • Horticultural projects
  • Community engagement a & practical green space improvements

You will have proven experience of engaging communities including leading consultations, supervision of volunteers and working with vulnerable adults. The role requires a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle, excellent communication and diplomacy skills and excellent project management skills, including budget control.
