Wild Trout Trust Part Time Fundraising Events Officer

In the region of 3 days per week and £18,000 p.a. + pension contribution, mileage expenses and holiday entitlement pro rata 25 days/year + public holidays; initial 12-month contract.

The Wild Trout Trust (WTT) is a registered charity dedicated to the protection and survival of the iconic brown trout, a living indicator of the health of the landscape around us (www.wildtrout.org).

WTT works with a variety of stakeholder groups to further the conservation of wild trout, including NGO’s, fishing clubs, farmers, riparian owners, community groups, academia and government agencies.

We need a part-time Fundraising Events Officer to

  • run our annual auction, a vital source of funding;
  • organise events for our existing (and new) supporters;
  • engage with corporate partners;
  • win support from grant-awarding trusts & foundations;
  • contribute new ideas for fundraising;
  • support the Director in reporting to funders.

Is this you?

A self-starter with experience in charity fundraising, likely in a related conservation sector; you must share WTT’s ethos and values and understand the world in which we work. You will have key project management skills, be full of ideas and able to take those to a successful conclusion. You will be highly organised, attend to detail, be IT competent, have great interpersonal and social skills and an existing network of relevant contacts (or demonstrate a capacity quickly to develop such a network). You will be home-based yet work closely with a number of colleagues currently based in the south of the UK.

What to do next?

An application form and detailed job description for this role is available from the WTT website.

Applicants should send an electronic copy of the completed application form and a short (one page) covering letter to the Trust & Data Manager, Christina Bryant, by email, to office@wildtrout.org. Please mark the subject line of your email with “Fundraising Events Officer”. Applications should reach us by 5pm on 3 June 2019. Interviews will be held on 14 June 2019 at a location to be advised.
