Do you have the ability to enthuse and teach others how they can encourage children to engage with their local natural environment? If so, you could be just the person we need to join our engagement team.

The main aim of the role is to promote awareness and enjoyment of the natural environment and show others how they can teach children and young people to foster a lifelong connection with nature. This will be achieved through working primarily with adults/teachers from secondary schools and individuals across Surrey however may on occasions include pre-schools, primary schools, post 16, special needs schools and home learners groups.

We are seeking a flexible, experienced and highly motivated individual who is passionate about natural history and outdoor learning. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a school or outdoor learning environment is essential together with enthusiasm, imagination and a wish to enthuse the next generation.

Although based at the Trust’s HQ in Pirbright, a full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential as time will be spent out and about in Surrey. Some occasional weekend and evening work will be necessary.
