EMEC Ecology

Paid • Full Time • Permanent

Sectors: ecology, conservation & wildlife

Closing date: Friday, 24th May 2019   3 days left

Are you an experienced senior ecologist looking for a new challenge? We have an opportunity to join our friendly team, based at our listed offices in the heart of the creative quarter in Nottingham, to help us deliver our development strategy.

As well as being a commercially driven consultancy we are one where conservation is a core value (being a subsidiary of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust), and as such when delivering our client’s projects and objectives, we also look for biodiversity net-gain wherever possible and delivering innovative solutions.

As a senior ecologist with us your role will involve designing and managing project delivery, producing high quality reports, maintaining key client relationships and supporting the development of junior staff.

If you have a passion for conservation and the following experience and licences this senior role could be your next career step:

  • Experience in a senior ecologist role in a consultancy setting
  • Substantial project management experience
  • Protected species survey licences, and ideally having held EPS development licence in their name
  • Full driving licence (although own car is not required, as a fleet of pool cars is provided for surveys)

As well as joining a close-knit, friendly and supportive team, in a relaxed office atmosphere, we also offer a great benefits package (28 days leave plus public holidays, contributory pension, health payment plan, payment of professional membership fees) and because we recognise the commitment required from our staff we place an emphasis on flexible working and work/life balance.
